Nations commonly face a huge dilemma between the pursuit of economic growth and environmental sustainability. This is evidently prominent in the Asia’s context, where we have to strike a balance towards a fast yet sustainable economic development, a balance across climate change, resource scarcity, demographics, and social changes.

Climate change and social issues exemplify an increasingly clear connection between sustainability performance and the region’s overall development. To response and adapt to future, governments are incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into national development policies and pledged in Paris Agreement to contribute towards tackling climate change and sustainability. With the global push for sustainable development, awareness of the above sustainability initiatives is gaining momentum. Thus, our joint commitment comes to a pivotal moment for progress.
